With Liverpool, Everton and Roma all reportedly pursuing Marseille winger Andre Ayew, Sampdoria have now entered the race according to Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.
Ayew is a free agent at the end of the current season, and a number of clubs have been rumoured to be monitoring the Ghanian international, including Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool, and their Merseyside rivals.
However, it seems that Roma are the favourites to secure his signature. Di Marzio tweeted on Thursday that Sampdoria have now joined the ever-growing list of teams interested.
As Ayew’s contract comes to an end at Marseille, it is suggested that when he moves on, he’ll be looking for a bigger wage and a ‘new challenge’.
In 2011, Ayew won the BBC’s African Player of the Year and has been a key player for his side for numerous seasons.
