Spanish club Valencia are reportedly monitoring AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. The French international has played in La Liga before with Sevilla and now Valencia will have to pay the asking price of €25m from the Ligue 1 side.
According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Valencia are leading the race for Kondogbia’s signature with both Atletico and Real Madrid suggested to be interested too.
The 22-year-old has had a very up and down season in regards to his form. This is his second campaign in Monaco colours since making the €20m switch from Sevilla. However, his talent and potential is something that can’t be criticised, and this is why so many top European clubs have been interested in him.
If he made the move to Valencia, it is likely he would be used as a replacement for 31-year-old Javi Fuego whose role may turn into a minor one at the club who are currently having some financial problems since Peter Lim bought the club.
Real Madrid are also interested in Kondogbia. Los Blancos were in the race for the youngster when he was getting ready to depart Sevilla.
