Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has ruled out a move back to Stamford Bridge, whilst current boss Jose Mourinho is still in charge.
Last year, the Belgian was sold by the Blues after only a handful of chances to make an impression in the Premier League.
Since his move to Wolfsburg, the 23-year-old’s progress has been going up and up, with recent rumours linking him with a move to Premier League giants, Manchester City.
When talking about his future, de Bruyne hasn’t ruled out a move back to England, but La Liga also takes his interest.
Talking to German media outlet Bild, De Bruyne explained: “”I think, to be honest, I would not return to Chelsea as long as [Mourinho] is in charge.”
“I know that I like the Bundesliga, and it always did me good, but I don’t fear to return to England or to play in Spain. I believe I can make it there.”
De Bruyne made 45 appearances for Wolfsburg last season, scoring 15 goals and grabbing himself 25 assists.
34 of those appearances were in the Bundesliga, where he picked up 10 goals and 20 assists.
Recent suggestions have valued de Bruyne at £35m.
