Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile has admitted that a return to the Serie A is possible, but he’ll talk to the new BVB manager Thomas Tuchel before making any decisions.
Ex-Torino striker Immobile made the switch to the Bundesliga and Dortmund last year in a move worth €19m, but has struggled to settle to life in Germany, and has only netted three goals in 24 appearances.
In the Champions League, however, his ratio was far better, grabbing four goals in six games, plus three in three in the DFB Cup.
“A return to Italy? There’s always a possibility. I’ll have to talk to the new coach of Borussia Dortmund,” Immobile told Sky Sport Italia.
“It is always a pleasure to be linked with big Italian clubs.”
The 25-year-old has several options, and needs to make a decision before the start of the new season.
He could very well be a signing for new Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri to make, as a replacement for the rumoured ‘unhappy’ Gonzalo Higuain.
Rumours in Italy are suggesting that both Milan clubs are interested in Immobile, alongside fellow Serie A side Roma.
