According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, Spanish giants Real Madrid are all set to open talks with Italian side Juventus regarding a deal for Italian defender, Leonardo Bonucci.
It has been widely reported that Los Blancos are in the transfer window this summer, on a lookout for a defender to join the ranks. The solid defender that plays his football in the Juventus Stadium is a target for new Madrid boss, Rafael Benitez.
A bid to lure Juventus into selling their defender is in the works, with Madrid poised to talk to his agents. The meeting will take place some time next week, to investigate where things stand with the Champions League 2015 finalist.
If Bonucci is to depart, Juventus have already started looking for his replacements. The name on the lips of Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri seems to be Mehdi Benatia, from German side Bayern Munich.
Since his move in 2010 from Bari to Turin, 28-year-old Bonucci has featured in 162 Serie A fixtures, bagging himself nine goals in the process.
