According to Inside Futbol, Monaco have expressed their intention to renew the contract of Anthony Martial, in a push to keep hold of their targeted striker.
This summer, Martial has been linked with a move to Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, but Monaco have always expressed their desire to not sell their highly rated youngster.
The striker from Ligue 1 has put pen to paper on a new deal, that keeps him at Monaco until the summer of 2019.
Signing a new deal would throw any departure out of the window, and would keep him firmly at Stade Louis II.
In Ligue 1 last season, the 19-year-old bagged himself nine goals in a season that Monaco finished 3rd in the league, giving Champions League qualification for next season.
The French side made the Champions League quarter-finals last season, and Martial didn’t manage to get himself a goal in the prestigious tournament. However, in the French cup competitions, he bagged three goals, taking his season tally to 12 in all competitions.
At U21 level, Martial has been capped by France, but is still waiting for his call up to the senior team.
