Revealed: Barcelona’s potential new stadium

Images have started to surf the web of what La Liga giants Barcelona’s apparent new stadium could potentially look like.

Earlier this week, the Spanish side revealed photos of what the Catalan supporters can expect to see once their new stadium is finished, with it regularly being linked with Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena.

It’s rumoured that the new ground will be able to seat 105,000 spectators in a redevelopment which is costing Barcelona around £600m.

The week is set to start during the 2017/18 La Liga campaign and the Club are hoping to have the stadium opened for the 2021/2022 season.

Barcelona’s current stadium, the Nou Camp, was originally built in 1957 and currently seats 99,354 spectators.

Barcelona’s next game will be situated on home soil, when they welcome Premier League side Arsenal for their Champions League clash. The Catalans have a 2-0 advantage on their side, with thanks to two Lionel Messi goals in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.
