Nick Davies – Founder

Nick Davies is the founder of View From The Press Box and acts as the sole editor of the page, currently. Nick, has experience in sports journalism as he writes for his local paper about the local senior football team. He runs his own personal blog, NicksFootballNatter, and has also written for other blogs in his time. He is a passionate Manchester United fan, and follows his local professional team, Swansea City. He takes a keen interest in the statistical side of the game and enjoys writing on the beautiful game. He hopes to write for a national newspaper in the future, hopefully on sports, and hopes to take View From The Press Box as far as possible.

Jordan Griffiths – Director

Jordan Griffiths is a 16 year-old, Welsh, football enthusiast. He is passionate about his local professional side, Swansea City, and has previously been a season ticket holder at the Liberty Stadium. Jordan’s role with View From the Press Box, is to over see activity to ensure quality content, however he does dabble with the writing aspect when it may concern him.

Ökari Stephen Wambunya – Reporter

Ökari Stephen Wambunya is a 16 year old College student at St. Andrews school, a co-educational multicultural boarding institute in Kenya, and is studying English Literature and P.E. He has played for his school team in football since Primary and secondary school in England up until now. Ökari is extremely passionate of the beautiful game and enjoys in depth tactical analysis of players performances as well as reporting on the latest transfer news and rumours. Tom Brooks – Reporter

Tom Brooks is an 18-year-old student who is hopefully going to be studying sports journalism next year at the University of Creative Arts. He has had experience reporting on numerous sports including american football, cricket and tennis. But his real passion is football. He has worked with many local football clubs, volunteering to write up all of their match reports for them over the past couple of years. His sights are set on one day moving over to America to report on football from all over the world, along with various other American sports.

Aaron Fowler – Reporter

Aaron Fowler qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2013, but since decided to pursue a career as a sports journalist. In September Aaron will be starting the Multimedia Sports journalism diploma run by Sportsbeat. As well as writing for View from the press box, Aaron also writes for his own blog (azasworldofsport.com). He is also the publicity officer for the National Partially Sighted Football League. Football is his favourite sport and Aaron is a passionate Liverpool fan!

Mitchell Alexander – Reporter

Mitchell Alexander is an aspiring journalist from New Zealand. He has experience in the field as he has had experience in television, radio and writing journalism. He has had experience working for TV 1 News, New Zealand’s flagship network, and just last year Mitchell was part of a football radio station which aired in Australia. He has also written for various newspapers. In his spare time, Mitchell is producing a documentary and is going to study broadcasting journalism next year. He is a big football fan and supports Liverpool.

Jamie Morse – Reporter

Jamie Morse is a 17 year old Swansea City fan, who is going to university next year to study film. He’s always had a deep love for football, and one of his oldest memories of the sport was filling in a sticker album for the 2002/03 Premier League season. Jamie isn’t interested in the tactical or statistical side of football; instead he focuses on visually stunning goals and attractive build up play. Many of Jamie’s reports will be looking at the lesser discussed areas of football, particularly on the non-European continents.

Becki Cookson – Reporter

Becki is a 20-year-old student currently in the final year of a Journalism degree at Liverpool John Moores university and is an aspiring sports journalist. She is a passionate Everton fan and a season ticket holder at the club. As well as writing for VFTPB, she writes for Everton site Grand Old Team and has taken part in an interview with manager Roberto Martinez for an article on the site. Her particular interest is in Premier League as well as the international teams – especially those who feature Everton players!

Kevin Monaghan – Reporter

Kevin has been an avid sports fan since a very young age. He is a big Newcastle United fan, and is a passionate Republic of Ireland supporter. He likes to give a balanced insight to all aspects of football from the point of view of a proper fan.

Callum Cooper – Reporter

Callum is a 15 year-old student, who hopes to have a career in sport. He’s an all round sport fanatic and a huge football fan. He supports Barnsley football club and is a season ticket holder at Oakwell and also follows Premier League outfit Arsenal. Callum has played football at a high level for his age, after previously representing Chesterfield academy, and hopes to further progress in the sport.
